Dr. John Cooper - Candidate for US Congress - Texas Economic Development

David,

I think you are talking about alternative energy sources for which I will
support.

My first priority is to get our current energy prices down while seeking
alternative energy sources to meet our energy needs in the future.

I'm not familiar with Artificial Islands, send me some info. (Would
artificial island be like going off the coast Texas and building Islands to
build businesses and communities in the future?)

There is one thing that I want everyone to know is that whatever I support,
it must be Constitutional (supported by our Constitution).

John,

Thank you for your note concerning Texas Economic Development. My energy proposals are for the efficient use of our existing resources. Specifically, our current electric grid is very inefficient and somewhat unreliable, burning coal or natural gas then transmitting it to homes. I propose continuing to deliver natural gas (including from coal and alternative energy sources) via the existing network then it can be efficiently converted to electricity where it is used.

Also, our existing gasoline powered vehicles can be easily converted to use natural gas. Then a compressor at each home can fill us up each evening and natural gas would also be available at existing gasoline dispensing facilities. This would be cleaner for our air, reduce our dependence on imported oil, and allow Texas to lead the way in Energy.

Texas should subsidize the design, development, and manufacturing infrastructure for Texas Economic Development including: Robotics, Methane (Natural Gas) Economy, Gas-Electric Vehicles, Superconductors, and Artificial Islands.

Texas has a 10 mile offshore domain instead of the 2 mile limit for other states (except Florida has a 10 mile limit in the Gulf), and I believe Texas should push for the full distance of the USA national limit, because we were given this as part of ceding parts of New Mexico, Colorado, and Oklahoma when Texas became a state. However, if extending our limit is not workable, we can still extend our limit by building islands, then the 10 miles will be from the new islands instead of the existing ones.

Every offshore platform is a potential island, first by growing sea life on expanded platforms, and also by capturing the silt that is so apparent in the Gulf from rivers' runoff from the Mississippi to the Rio Grand. I have not completely researched all of this, and I know there is much more to be determined, so I will write a complete note on Artificial Islands later.
